Jo Beilman in New Role at Chamber/GO Topeka

Jo Beilman has taken a new position at the Topeka Chamber: Manager of Business Development. In her new position, she will be assisting in calling on companies outside of Kansas to educate and market to prospects the attributes of doing business in Topeka and Shawnee County. Beilman's new position will also involve trade show missions and hosting prospect visits to Topeka.

Beilman, who was Business Retention/Expansion (BRE) manager since joining the Chamber staff in August 2002, will also work with local companies on larger-scale expansion efforts. In addition, she will be in charge of workforce development activities at the Chamber, working closely with the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Workforce Center to facilitate discussions among education, government, and industry representatives to identify workforce needs.

"This is a great opportunity," says Beilman, "and I look forward to marketing a community I believe in and where I have lived my entire life."

Beilman, a business graduate of Friends University, also attended Washburn University's School of Business.
