Great Overland Station

Iron horses... Pioneers... Kaw Indians... Underground Railroad... Buffalo Bill... Adventurers.... All this and more will be found at the Great Overland Station, Topeka, Kansas. Amid a rich heritage and enviable quality of life, the spirit of the rugged pioneer and the daring entrepreneur endure in Kansas, America's heartland. These qualities will be celebrated at the Great Overland Station - formerly the Union Pacific Railroad Station - on the banks of the Kansas River. Complimenting the Great Overland Station, the Kansas Riverfront Park will be created along the Kaw River and the adjacent Historic North Topeka business district will be restored and redeveloped, creating an appealing destination for tourists and students, a focus for arts and entertainment and a community gathering place for all ages.

Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Last admission time is 3:15 p.m. General admission is $4.00 for adults; $3.00 for seniors (age 62 and above); and $2.00 for children 3-12 years of age. Members and children under 3 are free. There is a $1.00 military discount. Base annual membership is $25.00 per person and $35.00 for families.
