Business Incubator

The Accelerator, located two doors east of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce/GO Topeka, 120 SE 6th Street, is a professional services incubator. Depending on clients' space needs, The Accelerator can house up to four businesses.

The current tenants are:

Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE), a leading information technology (IT) services provider headquartered at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Sagitec, a sofware services and solutions company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This downtown Accelerator facility provides shared services such as copiers, fax, clerical support, state-of-the-art telecommunications, and Internet access; and a library with information on business planning, financial projections, marketing, and many other resources.

Business incubators nurture the development of entrepreneurial companies, providing on-site assistance before the businesses "go out on their own." Incubators provide their client companies with space at below-market rates, business support services and resources tailored to young firms or established firms needing special assistance. Typical goals of incubation programs are creating jobs in a community, retaining businesses in a community and diversifying local economies.
